Cheaper housing
Helsinki is a growing city that needs a lot more affordable homes. Our youth reach adulthood and we are constantly joined by new citizens of Helsinki from around Finland and the world. We must build a sustainable and beautiful city that takes into consideration the old and new residents, as well as the environment.
Protect our forests
We must save as many of our remaining forests as we can. The many beautiful forests of Eastern Helsinki and the other valuable green areas of our city should be permanently protected and we should plant 100 000 new trees.
Better transportation
Let’s make public transportation cheaper, more far-reaching and make it go 24/7. Let’s start from metros and trains. Bike roads must be safe for everyone all over the city. Investments in sustainable transportation decreases the need for cars, which makes it easier to use cars when necessary.
Care for those who need it
Mental healthcare and substance abuse treatment need resources and reform. We must make sure that everyone in Helsinki gets free and good-quality healthcare for all possible health issues.
A sustainable city
The global community only has a chance to reverse
the current climate emergency if all cities, companies
and countries do their own share. Helsinki should be
a global leader in building a more environmentally, socially
and economically sustainable society.
